Perspectives in Focus - 1:1 w/ Montell Allen

Montell Allen is the founder of MBA Sports a not-for-profit independent institution dedicated to providing quality service for minority/underprivileged student-athletes in their efforts to pursue college aspirations.

Their goal is to bridge the gap between minorities/under-privileged student-athletes and college education using sports as the hybrid platform. This is accomplished by helping young men and women get through the process and achieve a higher level of education.

We talk about the efforts MBA Sports has achieved. We also chat about the process of recruiting for sports, especially here in California and how over the past 25 years with cutbacks it has directly affected men of color and their communities.
